SAR Hammond

Commodities:  Passengers Goods        Loco Services:  Water      Facilities:  Loop       Unmanned station on the  Peterborough-Quorn Line . Passing/goods and station loops with a goods siding and loco watering facility. Hammond was originally planned to be the commercial centre for the region but the population growth never reached the needed level. By the time the line was closed in 1986, Hammond had become a virtual ghost town.
