AWS System : Isolation Switch
AWS_Isolate_Switch.jpg
This item is part of the equipment provided to simulate the working of AWS in British Rail locomotive cabs.
This switch allows the driver to isolate (cut out) the entire AWS system. This is to be used when there is a fault with the AWS system that prevents operation of the train - e.g. to move a faulty train to the depot for maintenance. It is not intended to be used for normal operation.
